Team Faces of Rotterdam
Robert Tjalondo
Initiator & photographer
Robert studied at the Utrecht School of the Arts and has been working as a professional photographer for over 15 years. With a father from Indonesia and a mother with Dutch and Indo roots, he has a rich cultural background himself.
Driven by his love for Rotterdam, Robert initiated Faces of Rotterdam: a project in which he portrays and interviews all 170+ nationalities living in the city. Through photography, video and personal conversations, he brings the faces and stories behind the numbers to life, showing why people choose Rotterdam and how they find a sense of home in the city.
Willemijn de Koning
Projectmanager & editorial development
Willemijn worked for ten years as a journalist and communications specialist, focusing on stories of minority groups such as refugees and LGBTQI+ communities. She also produced a documentary about donor-conceived children in the Netherlands.
Within Faces of Rotterdam, Willemijn is responsible for project management and the editorial development of the interviews. In addition, she works through Stichting Kloofdichters and as an independent professional on projects at the intersection of society, policy, and public dialogue.
Quintis Ristie
Ambassador
Quintis Ristie is a well-known Dutch actor and presenter, a Rotterdam role model and a prominent figure for bicultural Rotterdammers. He is a versatile talent with roots in Suriname.
After his breakthrough in *Raymann is Laat*, he established himself as a familiar face in the Dutch entertainment industry.
With his warm personality and sense of humour, he is an ideal ambassador to represent the diverse faces of Rotterdam.
Claudia Vásquez Quiroz
Scout
At the age of 13, she moved from the Chilean Andes to the Rotterdam area along the River Schie, which she now considers home. With great enthusiasm, she is a true connector among Rotterdammers.
She is currently a scout for Faces of Rotterdam, passionately finding the stories of the 170+ nationalities that shape the city.
